8 months (already) & Chiken and Carrots biscuits

Lalala lalala Today I’m turning 8 months already

I have accomplished a couple of thing this last month, and Sara and Ricardo are really proud of me. Yup! “Good boy Pu!”

Remember that in the 7 months post I talked about my “peeing at home” problem? Well… problem solved! FOREVER (I hope)!!! Since then, I never peed at home again… “good boy PU!”

I’m also trying not to beg for food… but it’s soooo hard. But I’m getting better at this! Normally, if I behave my self during dinner, I’ll get a reward afterwards! Got biscuits the last few nights… so I must be doing it right don’t you think?

Now, at the new tricks department… Sara and Ricardo haven’t been teaching me that much lately “Bad Sara & Ricardo! Bad!”
But I’m starting to learn how to Slalom around their legs, I can do it following a biscuit… but not yet on my oneself! Have to practice some more!

And Sara started to put a biscuit on my nose… and then she asks me nor to eat it!?!?!??! Come on!?!??! Are you kidding me?
It’s really hard!!! I always star to drool intensely … and then I begin to shake (yep… my nerves)… but now I can wait for, let see, 3 or 4 seconds ahahahah
But Sara’s not giving up on me… we’ll keep training! (I’ll try to put a video up)

I have grown a bit this month :)
Sara says I’m the perfect size now, because she doesn’t have to get down to pet me anymore! I’m tall enough to reach her hand… see?
So I’m 35kg, and still growing

We also decided to start posting about canine cuisine.
This new feature will be held by Pu can Cook (Master Chef PU, named after: Yan can cook):

Today we will be making some chicken and carrots biscuits for my furry friends :).

And we will be offering this on our 3rd golden Sunday.

The ingredients:
flour
½ tea spoon baking soda
1 egg
2 carrots (pureed or Juliana)
1 chicken’s chest (no bones)

And here’s how we make it:
Boil the chicken’s chest in plain water, until it is cooked. Put in to a food processor, until it is all chopped up.Add the egg and carrots, and then stat adding the flour and baking soda, mixing it very well (you may have to adjust the quantity of flour).

Put the mixture into a pastry bag and start making small size cookies. Now here’s were you can get creative!

And then the final result:
This is what we came up with! (can´t show you yet... because it´s a surprise for my furry Friends tomorrow at the picnic)

The master chef’s checking the taste…and he gives a paws up!

And remember... If Pu can cook, so can you!

Marley and Me

Just finished reading Marley and me. What a great journey!

Whether or not you consider yourself a dog person, the book will make you laugh and cry, reminding you that you only live once, and that life should be lived to its fullest.
The author captured perfectly the essence of Marley (and many other crazy retrievers), sharing his adventures and struggles thru life.

I believe many of you have probably read the book already, but if you didn’t, well… you are going to love it!

I’m going to watch the movie this weekend… hope it is as good as the book :)

Visiting the VET

This Sunday we took Pu to the vet to do the Canine Hip Dysplasia check.
I was a little bit concern because, since he was a little puppy he always shook his bottom a lot when he walked. He didn’t have any other signs, but to be on the safe side, we decided to do the exam!
Here we are, waiting for the consult......

And still waiting....

Then Pu´s VET arrived. She told us to come inside with him, and gave him his anesthetic (he had to be completely immobilised to take the X-Ray)

After the exam... my little angel still sleeping... so sweet!

So: everything is fine!!! The VET didn’t see any signe of dysplasia, and his hip is perfect! (I believe Pu thinks he’s a model, and he’s constantly walking the runway!)

He had to rest for the day... but this morning he´s gone back to being his usual perky self! =)

Lot’s of walks on Saturday!

This Saturday I went on lot’s of walks, and had lot’s of play time!

In the morning I went to the park near our house… and played around by my self!
Normally there are many pups here… but saturday we didn’t see anyone…
Well, I just had to have fun by myself:

Now this is me, being all sensitive! (actually I´m eating the flowers... =) )

And, in the afternoon, we went to the Biggggg Park!

Another accomplishement!!!

After months of being teased about my peeing position, of hearing thing like “ Pu… are you a little girl to pee like that??”, I decided that it was time for a change!

Yeah!

So… Aunty Nês helped me a lot, we practiced the new peeing position a few times…(don’t make fun of us… it’s not easy to learn how to pee like a big dog!)

And... I have finally got a hold of it!

Actually, I have been peeing like this for a week already! But Sara just couldn’t catch It on camera… she´s too slow for me.. lol

But today, she got it! There’s the proof!

*********

Sara was called in to perform another surgery!!! It was kind of urgent, because my little friend “Winnie the Pooh” had a big hole on his arm.

So Sara had to make some stitches…

And then clean him up!

All good now! (notice that I’m keeping my Zen moment :))

That’s all!
